Geneva King Emerson

About THE AUTHOR

Geneva King Emerson is a native of the Ozark Mountain foothills.  She and her husband, Stephen, live on land once owned by her grandparents; a portion of it was patented by a great-great-grandfather in the 1800s.  During their 59 years of marriage, they have been blessed—via birth, adoption and marriage—with a large, beloved family of seven children and their spouses, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

When her family was almost grown, the author began studies at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.  It was a dream, come true.

Most of her thirteen years of teaching was at her alma mater, Poughkeepsie School in Sharp County.  In retirement, she still tracks the progress of her former students, proud of their accomplishments and character.  Church, home and extended family, friends, reading and writing, gardening, sketching, quilting and other activities fill her days.
